Background
Lung cancer is the most common cancer and leading cause of cancer death worldwide. In 2020, the new cases are estimated to be 228,820, which is 12. 7% of all new cancer cases. An estimate of 135,720 people will die to this cancer, which is 22.4% death of all cancer deaths. Most patient are diagnosed at late stage causing effective treatment would be difficult. Early detection would a key factor to reducing mortality rate of lung cancer.

Objective
The goal of the project is to use Taiwan population-wide NHI EMR (electronic claim records) to build a deep learning algorithm to derive the lung cancer risk prediction model, include deriving prediction models for smokers, female nonsmokers, and subjects with immune-related comorbidities (a set of inclusion criteria to be defined).
